John R. Jones, CFA, CLU
President, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Jones joined GuideStone in January 1989 and was elected Senior Vice President in February 1990.  Following his tenure in the Investment Division, Mr. Jones was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of GuideStone in February 1998. He is a member of GuideStone’s Committee on Socially Responsible Investing.

Mr. Jones came to GuideStone Financial Resources from the position of Senior Vice President-Trust and head of the Institutional Trust Division for InterFirst Bank, currently Bank of America.  He also had prior experience with a major life insurance company in the development, marketing, and administration of employee benefit plans.

Mr. Jones earned his bachelor of business administration from Southern Methodist University and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.




Rodric E. Cummins, CFA
Sr. Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Cummins joined GuideStone in 1998 as Executive Officer, Investment Services.  He is responsible for overseeing the investment management process of GuideStone Capital Management, a registered investment advisor providing advisory services to GuideStone Financial Resources; GuideStone Funds, a registered mutual fund company; as well as other investment advisory clients.  He is a member of GuideStone’s Investment Strategy Group and chairs GuideStone’s Committee on Socially Responsible Investing.

Prior to joining GuideStone, Mr. Cummins spent fourteen years at Baptist Foundation of Texas where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer.  He began his career as a financial analyst at Mobil Oil Company.  He is a member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth’s Strategic Advisory Board and serves on the board of Baylor Specialty Health Centers.

Mr. Cummins earned his bachelor of business administration in finance from Texas A&M University and is a CFA charterholder. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth and the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Pension Professionals.




Patty A. Weiland
Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, GuideStone Capital Management

Ms. Weiland joined GuideStone in August 2000 to establish the mutual fund product. During the period of September 2004 through March 2006 she served as the Chief Compliance Officer for GuideStone Funds and GuideStone Capital Management. In March 2006, she was named Executive Officer, Financial Solutions and Services for GuideStone Financial Resources and Sr. Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of GuideStone Capital Management.

Currently for GuideStone Capital Management she has responsibility for the oversight of the mutual fund product area, the sales and client relationship management area and coordination and direction of other departments and activities which are necessary to the support and development of the investment management program for GuideStone Capital Management. Ms. Weiland serves as a member of the Investment Strategy Group and GuideStone's Committee on Socially Responsible Investing.
 
Ms. Weiland came to GuideStone after spending seven years at The Northern Trust Company as Senior Trust Relationship Manager. Prior to joining Northern, Ms. Weiland worked for two other financial service providers and has more than 25 years of financial-related experience.
 
Ms. Weiland has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Emporia State University.




Matt L. Peden, CFA
Vice President and Portfolio Manager, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Peden joined GuideStone in 1996.  He is a principal colleague in the strategic planning of all investment management related matters for GuideStone Capital Management, including investment strategy and research.  He is responsible for portfolio management and fund construction, overseeing all fund managers and investment research activities.  He is a member of GuideStone’s Investment Strategy Group and GuideStone’s Committee on Socially Responsible Investing.

Prior to coming to GuideStone, Mr. Peden was an Assistant Vice President in the Fixed Income Department at Southwest Securities Inc. in Dallas.  Prior to working at Southwest Securities, he worked as an analyst at First Interstate Bank (now Wells Fargo).

Mr. Peden earned his bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of North Texas after which he earned his master of business administration with honors from Texas Christian University.  He is a CFA charterholder, a past President of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth and a member of the CFA Institute.




Arthur G. Merritt, CPA
Chief Compliance Officer, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Merritt joined GuideStone’s investment area in April 2001, with primary responsibility for monitoring the Sub-Advisors and for regulatory reporting to the SEC and NASD. In March 2006, he was appointed Chief Compliance Officer of GuideStone Capital Management. Previously, he worked in the Finance & Accounting area of GuideStone as Controller where he had been employed since 1994.  From 1988 to 1994, his responsibilities included Strategic Business Analyst and Assistant Controller.

Prior to working at GuideStone, Mr. Merritt served as President of the Merritt & Ewing Co., a public accounting firm, from 1974-1985.  From 1967 – 1972, he was employed by Celanese Chemical Co., as a Chemical Engineer.

Mr. Merritt earned a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, and a master of business administration from LeTourneau University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”).




Martin E. Landry, CFA, CFP®, CIMA®
Sr. Investment Analyst, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Landry joined GuideStone in January 2006, with primary responsibility for quantitative and qualitative analysis and research of current and prospective investment managers as well as analysis of the current market environment.

Prior to coming to GuideStone, Mr. Landry was a Portfolio Manager with the Private Portfolio Services Group of Bank of America in Dallas.  Prior to Bank of America, he worked as a Financial Advisor in the Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Landry is a CFA charterholder.  In June 2005, he completed the requirements to use the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.  In June 2007, Mr. Landry became a Certified Investment Management AnalystSM.  In January 2009, he earned the right to use the CIPM designation (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement).

Mr. Landry earned his master of business administration in management from the University of Texas at Tyler.  He also has a B.S. in communications degree from Texas A&M University — Commerce.  He is a member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth, the CFA Institute, the CIPM Association, the Investment Management Consultants Association and a member of the Dallas chapter of the Financial Planning Association.




Kenneth W. Wallace, CFA
Client Services Manager, GuideStone Capital Management

Mr. Wallace joined GuideStone in March 2006 as Manager of Client Services and Sales. He is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the client relationships of GuideStone Capital Management. Additionally, Mr. Wallace directs and coordinates other activities necessary to develop and support the client relationships.

Prior to joining GuideStone, Mr. Wallace was a Client Relationship Manager with the Mellon Analytical Solutions affiliate of Mellon Financial. Mr. Wallace has over nine years of investment industry experience.

Mr. Wallace earned his bachelor of business administration in management from Baylor University in 1996. He is a CFA charterholder. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Dallas-Fort Worth.
