Ron Dugan joined GuideStone in August 2010. He is responsible for providing primary assistance to the Chief Investment Officer in strategic planning of global investment management matters including the development of all investment strategies, objectives and policies. He directs asset class research and formulate asset allocation strategies, working with the Portfolio Management team. He serves as a strategy resource across the different asset classes and investment strategies overseeing all fund managers and investment research activities. He is a member of GuideStone’s Investment Strategy Group
Prior to joining GuideStone, Mr. Dugan spent 10 years at Russell Investments in Tacoma, Washington as Managing Director, Equities. Mr. Dugan was responsible for portfolio managers and research analysts in the areas of global, non-U.S., emerging markets, public real estate and Canadian equities. Previously, he was at the Baptist Foundation of Texas where he was Chief Investment Officer, specializing in the management of endowment and planned giving assets. He also served as an investment officer and financial accountant at the Meadows Foundation. He began his career as a staff auditor at Price Waterhouse (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Dallas.
Mr. Dugan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Finance from University of Texas at Dallas. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. His professional affiliations include the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Seattle, American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs.
